picture to show you from napa. rain hasn't let up in the north bay. a little lighter than it was before. still very soggy. since wednesday santa rosa, you're creeping up on 1 half foot of rainfall since wednesday. nearly 3 inches of rain for san francisco. more than 2 inches of rain for oakland. the rain is going to pick up again after midnight. heavy rain is likely throughout the morning tomorrow. it will be windy. we have the russian river and napa river under an official flood warning. a flash flood watch is still in effect through tomorrow for the north day, for the mountains and for the peninsula coast. there's a lot to talk about. we'll get through it and talk about what's going to happen after round three. >> heavy rain has people nervous. napa and russian rivers are under flood warnings. they're expected to rise above flood stage. don knapp is in napa. >> reporter: napa residents have been warned about the flooding. especially those living close to streams and the river. now they're bracing for the night. others are still working at it. crews were working into the night to remov

, but ten inches of rain in napa. you know this, you have dealt with it all over the past several days. that's done. a little bit of rain in the forecast, but nothing like the five days of rain we just went through and wrapped up. oakland right now, 55. cloudy. san francisco cloudy. santa rosa, 53. we've got a few light showers offshore. a couple very light showers moving through sonoma and also through the peninsula. then we'll see the slightest chance of a shower north of the golden gate overnight tonight. overnight lows, upper 40s. 48 for fremont, oakland at 51. san francisco at 53. two differences between this storm and the previous three. first off, the atmosphere is not as juicy. the tropical moisture is not there. yes, a front, but not a front producing heavy rainfall. the second change, we have an area of high pressure building to the south, taking the storm track and shoving it just far enough to the north that any moderate to heavy rainfall that does fall will fall not over the bay area, but instead about three to four hours to the north. so the storm check has been bumped up to th

. 39 for napa. 38 for fairfield. santa rosa 39. 48 for san francisco. san jose down to 40. good night for figure skating. s are having a good time. mom and dad doing a lot of watch watching. the kids going around there. great friday night to get out and about. no rainfall. yes, it's chilly, but if you'ree ing, who really cares? doppler bone dry. we'll stay that way for the next at least four days. i see no rain in the forecast until wednesday at the earliest. maybe you're going skiing. most of the ski resorts toward tahoe have all the lifts open. 87%, that's where we are with the snow pack. last year at this time only 36%. you'll get a lot of sunshine because of a big area of high pressure. you can kind of tell there's an area of high pressure when it almost looks like mother nature sprayed windex on southern california. taking the storm track, shoving it up in to oregon and western washington. not for us. that will keep us rain free all the way till the top of next week and through the week with chilly mornings. the nights are long. it is december. you'll get afternoon highs in the m
